Galerija Kapelica

Kapelica gallery was established in 1995 by the Student Organisation of the University of Ljubljana and has been since led by the architect and curator Jurij Krpan.

The Kapelica Gallery (1995) is one of the leading venues for contemporary research art in the world. Through a program that includes spatial installations, performances, sound research and theoretical-reflective lectures, Kapelica deals with scientific and technological applications, biopolitics and urban phenomena and addresses professionals and the general public. The gallery program is developed in response to profound social changes, so it consists of artistic activities that reflect the multiplicity of modernity and predict possible scenarios for the future. As a production platform that encourages, enables and presents the research and artistic projects of the most daring artists, Kapelica is a place of transdisciplinary interactions where authors and groups of authors can develop their most challenging works.
