Under the still unchanged conditions of not being able to broadcast its own television program in Austria, STWST-TV was forced to go to America in 1990, where an invitation from the Hallwalls art centre helped it to broadcast live on TCI's local cable network in Buffalo/New York on 6 consecutive evenings without further ado. Public Access Channels are publicly accessible TV channels in cable networks that operators in USA, were required by law to make available to everyone, at that time.
